Each Korean Embassy, Consulate Office, and Visa Centers in your country have their own rules and standards regarding the Visa Application. So
please apply for your visa as soon as you receive our email containing visa-related documents as visa issuance can take longer than expected.
All international students in Korea will be automatically registered to the National Health Insurance Service (NHIS), effective from the date of their Alien Registration.
Exchange Students will receive monthly invoices by post, and the cost will be approx.. 70,000 KRW per month.
However, students are also required to purchase a separate insurance plan valid for at least 1 month from their arrival in Korea to cover their stay before Alien Registration.
On-Campus housing is guaranteed for exchange students in POSTECH unless chosen otherwise. Housing Fee must be paid in a total by making a cash deposit to POSTECH Housing Services account within the first week of the semester.
For New International Students, Orientation will take place the week before the beginning of the semester including info sessions, cultural activities, group alien registration, etc.
