Q[ARRIVAL] How do I apply for the housing on campus?

A
If you are an exchange/visiting student, you are required to purchase the compulsory health insurance even if you already have a similar travel insurance from home country. The insurance will cover medical expenses caused by accident or illness and other benefits including liability, loss of properties, and more.
If you are a graduate student, you have three options: 1) Purchasing health insurance from your home country before coming to POSTECH, 2) Purchasing Korean private health insurance upon your arrival at POSTECH (you must inform the ISSS coordinator beforehand), 3) Joining National Health Insurance Service (NHIS) upon your arrival at POSTECH (you must inform the ISSS coordinator beforehand). For detailed information on different options, please refer to Health Insurance in Upon Arrival.

A
Individual information session will be held for those who were not able to participate in the official orientation; however, the individual information session will not include all the information delivered during the official one, such as information on course registration, health center, research ethics, settlement allowance and expenses for the term (for graduate students). For this reason, we highly recommend our students to arrive at POSTECH on time so that they will be able to participate in the entire orientation program planned for a week.
