Application Open: World Culture Awareness Programme

 

International Relations is pleased to announce that the application is now open for the World Culture Awareness Programme. The World Culture Awareness Programme, organized by Gyeongsangbuk-do Office of Education in cooperation with POSTECH, provides international members the opportunity to introduce their home countries’ culture, tradition, and history to Korean students at local elementary and middle schools.

 

 

  • ♦Compensation

Compensation for participants will vary depending on the distance of the assigned school as below.

Jecheol Dong Elementary School, Jecheol Jigok Elementary School, Leedong Middle School, Jecheol Middle School

KRW 40,000 per participant

(KRW 70,000 for two consecutive classes at same school)

Munchung Elementary School, Janggi Elementary School, Poeun Middle School

KRW 60,000 per participant

(KRW 100,000 for two consecutive classes at same school)

 

  • ♦Mini-presentation Session

Final participants will be selected through a mini-presentation session with the staff of International Relations. Applicants will be giving a mini-presentation on their home countries’ culture, and also experience-based activities (e.g. craft, games, dance, etc.) As this is only a mini-presentation, the presentation should be 5 minutes maximum. Please include your option and available time in the application form for the mini-presentation session from the two options below, and I will notify you of the detailed schedule. The selected final participants will be notified via e-mail.

Date: Monday, April 3rd, 2017

Time: 10:00-14:00

Venue: ISSS Office Conference Room

Option 2

Date: Tuesday, April 4th, 2017

Time: 14:00-18:00

Venue: ISSS Office Conference Room
